- Your HCC ID card also serves as your Library card with which you can check out materials from the library and access online resources.
- HCC ID/Library Cards can be obtained in the Success Center. To obtain an HCC ID/Library Card, present your current HCC registration receipt. Regular hours of operation are Monday and Wednesday, 12:30 to 7:00 PM and Tuesday and Thursday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. After HCC ID/Library Cards are received from the Success Center, the cards should be brought to the Library Circulation Desk for activation.
- Please notify the Library immediately if your card is lost or stolen, or if your address changes.
- Your library card may be used at any HCC campus.
Checking Out Materials
- You must present your HCC library card to check out materials.
- Patrons are fully responsible for all materials borrowed with the card.
- Circulating books may be renewed if no request has been made to borrow the book. You can renew your books at the circulation desk. You can check your library account online at My Account.
- Overdue notices will be sent via Hawkmail (Hawknet-Campus Cruiser). You will be responsible for the cost of unreturned library materials.
- Magazines, journals and newspapers may be used in the library only.
- Students who fail to return overdue materials will have a hold placed on their academic records.
- Reference Books may be used in the library only.
- Items placed on reserve may be used in the library only.
- Math and accounting videotapes (1 day check-out)
InterLibrary Loans
If Plant City Library doesn't have what you are looking for, let us help locate your desired materials through our Interlibrary Loan service.
Reserve Materials
Faculty may reserve items for their classes at the circulation desk in Library. Reserve items may be used by students in the library only.
Reciprocal Borrowing
With a current HCC ID/Library card, students will be allowed to check out books from USF or any other state university system library. Please be aware that USF DOES charge a late fee for overdue materials and any unpaid fines could result in a hold being placed on academic records.
Leisure Collections
For your enjoyment, the library has a paperback collection of books that can be checked out for leisure reading.
