Description:This five-day course was designed for anyone who needs to create e-Learning applications using ToolBook II Instructor. The course focuses on developing using the ToolBook II Instructor interface and understanding the productivity tools included with Instructor, such as the Animation Editor, the Catalog objects, OpenScript, and the Actions Editor. In this course, you will gain a deep understanding of how ToolBook II Instructor works. Introducing Toolbook concepts, including adding and deleting objects using the Catalog and the tool palette, modifying object properties, creating and modifying group objects, using Author and Reader levels, and adding and modifying pages and backgrounds.

Working with text in fields and recordfields, importing text, spell-checking text, and changing text properties; referencing HTML files on Web servers; adding PowerPoint presentations to your e-Learning applications.
Exploring navigation options, including hyperlinks, the automatic menu object, and the popup index object.

Corporate Cost $1000 for one person $1500 for two, $2000-2500 for 3-5 and $3000 for 6 or more. HCC's CGS 2874 is a 3 credit course costing the same as CGS 1871 above. Additional manuals must be purchased at ~$75 each. The CGS 2874 course also requires a second manual on OpenScript language at ~$75.

* Student version of ToolBook cost $99 through HCC's ATC. This version has all the functions of ToolBook except it does not allow the user to publish runtime versions of the student's work to disks, cd or the Internet. A full developer's license is required to publish projects, which may be purchased for ~$875-900 through HCC's ATC while being a student at HCC ATC. (Retail price $2599, Street price ~$2200-$2400) |
