This Specialization focuses on careers in office administration. The content prepares individuals to support management by expediting and facilitating the maintenance and production of correspondence and records; to telecommunicate; maintain office budget; planning; preparing correspondence and resolutions; and filing and maintaining documents.

Course work, which provides supplemental education for those already employed in these occupations, can be applied to the two-year Office Administration degree and the Office Specialist (18-credit), Office Management (27-credit), and Medical Office (34-credit) certificate specializations.

Certified Professional Secretary Test Review

HCC awards (12) credit hours to anyone passing the Certified Professional Secretary Examination and earning the "CPS" designation. The examination is administered by the Institute for Certifying Secretaries.
